¡QUIERO EMPEZAR A HACER ALGO PRODUCTIVO!

A. dixit.

Posted: enero 29, 2010 in Ainhize

Diana F+ or Lomography FTW!

Posted: enero 27, 2010 in Ainhize

It’s been a long time since I last updated this. I still have not had time to read “Pride Prejudice and Zombies” but I think I have had to read at least 3 more books since that entry. LOL (I enjoyed them, though)

As I cannot sleep, I’d like to introduce you all (if any of you takes the time to read my words) my soon to be Diana F+ Lomographic camera, thanks to my bf :) I just cannot wait to use it; luckily I’ll take loads of pictures this weekend and will finally be able to update my Flickr, which pro account will soon expire :(

Anyways, here she is:

Ain’t she (yep, it’s a “she”) the cutest camera ever? I know people will look weird at me while I take pics, but I don’t really care, I’ve been desiring one for a looon looong time as to keep it home!!!

Cheers!

CiteULike & Google Books

GOOGLE BOOKS

Google Books is  service which mainly indexes the information we get from thousands of printed books, in order to offer the user the chance to find any piece of information they need from them. In order to do that, Google has developed their own technology in order to scan every book to, afterwards, clasify the information.

Although Google Books is accessible to anyone, not every book we can find there will be readable for free, as if they still are protected by any copyright law, the user will only be able to read a small percentage of the work they are looking for.

This modern tool provided by Google, will let us download the books in a very comfortable PDF format, which will make our reserach easier than ever before.

CITEULIKE

CiteULike is a free service which can be used in order to save, share and organize articles of any journal in which we are working. This tool really is useful for students or teachers who currently work in research and read tons of articles which many times simply do not know where to keep.

Thanks to this service, anybody will be able to save all those articles in our personal journal, creating by this our own bibliography. Our references are marked thanks to a bookmarking system, which is easily installed in our navigator, and extracts the data we need to the folder we assign it to.

¡Orgullo Prejuicio y Zombis!

Posted: diciembre 10, 2009 in Ainhize

My latest extra academic adquisition, which I’ll try to read ASAP, since I’m a

diehard zombie-stuff fan, and appart from loving Jane Austen’s original work, there are no doubts that I will enjoy its zombie version a very lot. I’ve read infinite critics, but you know, it is better to read it and have a personal opinion rather than don’t give the book a chance to impress you and pay attention only to what others say.

Anyways, I’ll read it and then upload my opinion as soon as I find a bit of time for myself…

Cheers!

Markup Language

Posted: diciembre 10, 2009 in Edición Digital

Arkup language was created, in their very beginning, as languages formed by a group of format-codes which text processing machines introduce in texts in order to direct the proccess of impression thanks to an already programmable printer.

Markup language or language of marks is a way in which we can codify a document that, with the text, has labels or marks that contain aditional information about the structure of the text or its presentation. The language of marks which is the most extended one is the HTML, Wold Wide Web’s fundament. Markup languages are usually missed with programming languages. But they are not the same thing since markup language has not aritmetic or variable functions, whilst programming languages do.

Appart from that, another important markup language types would be the next ones:  GenCode, TeX, Scribe, GML, SGML, XML and XHTML

XML, for example, is a metalanguage, which means that it has been created in order to “build” other languages basing on it. As the time has passed by, it has become the best system when it comes to store semistructured data.

Another example, SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language), for example, was created a simply GML (Generalized Markup Language) in the 1970s. It’s a language designed yo mark and describe different documents in a really autonomous way to the hardware and software we have used. The SGML markup language is used to define the markup rules of each document, and it does not assing any characteristic labels.

HTML and XML were created from the syntaxis od SGML.
